“mamapal” is an address book management utility for busy moms and dads that extends the functionality of iphone Contacts and lets users register data for each family member of every contact in the address book.

Have you ever had an experience like this? A name sounds familiar, but you can’t quite put a face to it? For fathers like me who may have trouble keeping track of their children’s playmates and their parents’ names and personal data, mamapal is the application for you!

Even more than dads, moms will find this app invaluable. With “mamapal” moms can quickly and easily exchange contacts and family data via Bluetooth. They can send out group mails and find out exactly where friends live on a street map. And the birthday reminder will help keep relationships smooth and friendly for even the busiest of moms and dads.

App Functions
-Create, sort, edit, or delete new groups
-Import groups and contacts from existing address book application
-Create, edit and delete contacts
-Enable contacts to be registered in multiple groups
-Input new family data (photo, first name, middle name, birthday, school, grade, notes) and edit or delete them
-Make phone calls, send emails or SMS/MMS messages to contacts. (For iPod touch, emails only)
-Enable to send group mails to contacts within a group.
-Allows users to assign group specific email addresses to indivisual contacts when sending group mail.
-Display group member addresses on a map.
-Show all the birthdays in a contact list within a group on the calendar for next 12 months.
-Only month and date of birth will displayed when the birth year field is set for any year prior to 1900 or when no data are available.
-Age indicator option (on or off)
-Send and receive contacts and family information via Bluetooth. (optional setting : with or without telephone and email address)

Notes
-“mamapal” uses contact information from the iphone’s native address book.
-New contact information created by “mamapal” is saved to the native address book application, but groups and family information are not.
-When contacts are deleted from “mamapal”, they will also be deleted from the group list within the app, but not from the native address book.
-Group MMS function is not supported due to iOS SDK.
